Dennis Morris

Dennis Morris is a photographer.  He is well known for his work with Bob Marley and the Sex Pistols during the 1970’s, and has a huge body of work dating from the time he first picked up a camera aged fourteen.

Dennis came to Metal to spend a month re-examining his entire body of work to date, and to consolidate and determine new directions for the future.  He did this through an artistic collaboration with artists Noel Wallace, Benedict Johnson and David MacCormack who worked with him re-interpreting his work through the media of dance and film.

Through a series of dinners around the Metal AGA Dennis was able to revisit and debate aspects of his life, career and practice with invited artists and thinkers from a wide range of disciplines to gain new perspectives and insights into his work.
