Caroline Smith

Caroline is a writer/performance artist. She took part in a comedy lab at Metal Southend, where a group of artists shared their work, processes and practices with stand up comics.  Through this, Caroline started a partnership with the Wallasea Island RSPB, acquiring a Time and Space residency from Metal Southend and securing funding from the Arts Council of England.  The residency at Metal was split into two parts: the first, spent researching and filming; the second devising the show, Birdwatchers’ Wives which was draft-piloted at Metal Southend and Café Valise.   Caroline will be resident again at Metal in April. This Time and Space residency will be spent developing the show with input from Mem Morrison who she met on the first comedy lab residency.
