Richard James Daniels is a documentary photographer and videographer based in Leigh On Sea, Essex. He is considered one of the top 5 basketball photographers out there.
His latest project Baskitan: Grass-roots basketball in the Philippines was featured on the BBC, basketball and street culture magazines including Franchise, JOIA and A Common Practice: Basketball & Contemporary Art, which included work from Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali.
For Richard’s Residency he will begin a new project documenting basketball in the UK. The initial focus will be on the basketball courts and players at Chalkwell Park which will lead to a photography exhibition in 2021/2022.
