Sam Roddan is a visual artist who uses a wide range of media to produce sculptures and installations. Research, development and material experimentation are key to Sam’s practice. Her work is often constructed from re-purposed everyday objects, where the material used directly responds to the artwork’s subject matter. The form of her work is varied as it too is derived directly from each specific concept. Sam produces pieces that, through artistic process, material and form, truly embody their themes.
Whilst in residence Sam will be researching and developing her work ‘ Precious Dust’, a new piece of work inspired by her fascination with the heritage and materiality of cement and concrete.
