We are proud and delighted to display the iconic Totally Thames water bottle in our new Art School:
ARTS AWARD STUDENTS RECEIVE SOURCE TO SEA BOTTLE
On Wednesday 30 September, our Arts Award students went to the Pier to pick up Source to Sea River Relay project bottle. Southend being the last stop of this Totally Thames project, the bottle will now be on display at Metal’s Art School, next to Chalkwell Park.
The Bottle’s journey began at the source of the river in a field near Kemble in Gloucestershire where it will be filled with fresh Thames water. The Bottle was then helped on its journey downstream towards London by rowers, walkers, swimmers, paddleboarders, kayakers, sailors, punters and many more. On the last day of the Source to Sea River Relay, Gravesend RNLI handed the Bottle over to Southend RNLI at the end of Southend Pier where it was handed over to us.
Follow its journey and find out more about Source to Sea here.
