Stuart Whipps
Stuart Whipps is mid-way through an artist’s residency with Focal Point gallery in Southend on Sea, presenting him with a unique opportunity to analyse the aesthetic, cultural and social aspects of regeneration in the region of South East Essex called The Thames Gateway. His intention is to present a historical examination of the constant process of regeneration that has taken place in the area. He will explore, re-present and interpret archival and documentary material alongside contemporary photographs.
Metal are working in partnership with Focal Point Gallery and providing Stuart with a working / residential base at Chalkwell Hall.
His exhibition will be up at the Focal Point Gallery from 17 May - 3 July 2010.
