15 Minutes With:
A free event at Kazimier Stockroom celebrating new music in short-form.
Wednesday 6th November – 8pm – 10pm
Stockroom, Kazimier Garden, Seel Street, Liverpool.
Stockroom in association with Metal and British Council presents a free event in the intimate setting of Kazimier Stockroom to celebrate experimentation, play and the beauty of the short-form. This event corresponds with the visit of Russian artist Aneliya Antandilova (member of CHKBNS), selected by British Council to be an artist in residence at Liverpool culture hub, Metal.
Over the past fortnight, Aneliya has been exploring the city’s culture, art and histories and will be developing a mass for the city, a sacred musical composition centred around Liverpool’s sonic landscape, aiming to provide a religious experience for its audience regardless of their chosen institutes of faith. It will be made up of local voices, field recordings and her own instrumentation.
Aneliya will be supported by new work from Liverpool based artists George Maund, Daniel Thorne (Erased Tapes) as well as some special guests – soundtrack provided across the night by Lupini / Nina Franklin.
All of the work performed will be either a variation of an existing work, a premiere or a work in progress. The event will start 8pm promptly.
