In response to the current situation we will be continuing with our Consequences ‘Chat and Draw’ workshops online. Now more than ever it feels important to come together (in whatever way that might be) and have these important conversations. We are planning multiple new ways in which you can be involved in the project – watch this space for more information!
Our regular Wednesday workshops will now be online via Zoom. We will be holding our first session on Wednesday 25th March at 6pm and hope to plan more at different times depending on the take up. If you have taken part in a previous Consequences workshop then you are welcome to sign up to these. If you haven’t been involved but would like to take part then email firstname.lastname@example.org
Metal is inviting those who identify as female from across Peterborough to come together and talk about what’s important to them. It’s part of a city-wide project called Consequences that brings together different groups of women, sharing and passing conversations between groups to create a stronger picture of the female voice for the city.
Join Metal and artist Kate Genever for a chance to come together, chat and draw in this online workshop. Within the workshop we will discuss the consequences of NOT coming together as women, about our lives, our families, our communities etc.
During the workshop participants will be supported to draw and doodle their responses to conversations. For the workshop please find something in your home to doodle on, this could be, paper, a newspaper, a magazine, cereal box or even a receipt. Feel free to use whatever you have to hand to draw with, pencil, felt tip pen or biro for example.
You don’t have to be good at drawing to take part. It’s about the conversations we have together online as we draw, doodle and colour collectively.
Spaces are limited, please book your spot by emailing Ruth@metalculture.com. Once booked we will send you further information of how to login and gain access to the online workshop.
Keep an eye out on our project page in the upcoming days to see how else you might be able to take part in the project:
