Come along to the last of our five FREE journaling workshops.
Our final workshop is an open creative session, as we ask you to hand in your completed journals at the end. Make your final mark, talk through exhibition plans, reflect with fellow journallers and hear more ways of getting involved in Estuary 2020.

We invite anyone living along the Thames Estuary to keep a creative journal about life by the water. How you fill your journal is completely up to you! This opportunity is open to people of all ages and from all walks of life. All journals will be exhibited in a month-long exhibition, as part of the Estuary 2020 festival programme.

Tickets:  FREE but booking essential – Book here.

This is part of a series of FREE creative journalling projects as part of The Water Replies – a large scale project which forms a visible part of the programme within Estuary 2020, the second edition of the large-scale arts festival that celebrates the spectacular Thames Estuary, from 18 September – 18 October 2020.

Estuary 2020
Taking place on the river itself, and along the 60 miles of South Essex and North Kent coastline, an ambitious programme of artworks and events will respond to powerful themes resonant to the Estuary including industrial heartland, nationally important heritage sites, protected wildlife, acres of open marshland, together with seaside fronts and London commuter towns.

The festival will include installations, exhibitions, large scale events with an accompanying film and talks programme. Performances set in the landscape, or on the river itself, artist led walks, field trips and podcasts will explore the rich, diverse culture of the region and bring new audiences to significant sites fostering a deeper understanding of the Estuary.

Estuary 2020 is led by arts organisations, Metal (South Essex) and Cement Fields (North Kent) working with a wide range of arts and agency partnerships
