Future Network

Opening: 12/07/18 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Free

Future Network is a quarterly, informal evening hosted by Metal for artists, organisations and creative businesses working in all disciplines to come together to discuss ideas, meet others and learn new skills.

The next event is on Thursday 12th July at 6pm at Chauffeurs Cottage, St Peter’s Road, Peterborough PE1 1YX.

This months guest speaker will be Xidus Pain who will talk about his work as a Rap Artist and run a fun workshop exploring self expression, freestyle and lyric writing. As always we will have our 3 min wonder slots and time to network over a few drinks.

6pm: Invited guest speaker, Xidus Pain

Xidus will talk about his practice as a multi disciplined Rap artist, as well as his work locally, nationally and internationally. He will also be leading a participatory workshop as part of the evening. The workshop will focus on self-expression and exploring lyric writing and would be of interest to anyone who likes to use words as a form of expressions. The workshop is fun, open to all and no experience is necessary.


About Xidus

Xidus is a multi disciplined Rap Artist who specializes in delivering Lyric Writing workshops, which include inclusive learning and have embedded functional skills within them whilst also having fun.

As a music artist he was mentored by Hip-hop legends Sugarhill Gang & Grand Master Melle Mel. He is featured regularly on BBC Radio, free styling and improvising songs on the spot covering events such as the Queens Diamond Jubilee, the World Cup and the Olympics to name a few.

Xidus is currently doing some work at the world famous Abbey Road Studios. He is also working with French music producer Roger Molls on songs for their tour around France accompanied with an Orchestra late this year and has just finished a song which has been put forward for legendary rap artist 50 Cents TV show Power and many more major projects in the pipeline.

There will also be an opportunity for a Q & A
