Littlewoods Heritage Project Launch: Inside the Dream Factory
Come and join us as we launch a National Lottery Heritage funded project to record and preserve the history of the iconic Littlewoods building on Edge Lane, its former workers and the legacy of Littlewoods. Hear all about our plans to capture memories to produce a new creative archive.
The Littlewoods Heritage Project is a partnership between the Liverpool Screen School (Liverpool John Moores University) and Metal, an arts organisation based at Edge Hill Station. Come and meet the project team and share your stories and memories of Littlewoods.
Property developers Capital and Centric will also share their vision of the future for the Littlewoods building, before it begins its new life as ‘Littlewoods Studios’.
This new Heritage Lottery supported project will explore and celebrate the unique history of Littlewoods, together with local people. As part of the renovation process, the project will work with artists and local community groups to create a new artwork that reflects the history of the Edge Lane building.
Thursday 4th July, 6pm, at Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool Screen School, Redmonds Buildings, L3 5UG. Come along to the entrance located on Brownlow Hill. FREE.
