As part of Liverpool Provocations, Metal presents VERACITY by JULIEANN O’MALLEY.
Julieann will be encouraging passers-by to indulge in a moving and intimate one-to-one performance, incorporating the themes of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four and sci-fi films with a dystopian vision of the future. O’Malley is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice combines installations, video work, sound and performance.
In Veracity she will invite viewers to meet in a secret location where they will be guided through an immersive installation incorporating film and sound. They will then meet a performer who, through a series of interview-based questions, will uncover the real and artificial representations of self.
Veracity will take place on Tuesday 19th, Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd January, somewhere in Liverpool City Centre. Each performance will be one-on-one and will last around half an hour.
After booking your chosen time-slot for Veracity, you will be contacted with details of the secret location.
You must keep to your booked time-slot to view the work. If you would prefer a different time to the ones listed here please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try our best to accommodate you.
