Saturday 20th October
10am – 4pm
Aimed at artists and writers, this workshop offers a hands-on chance to unlock the exciting potential of interactive fiction and digital storytelling – with no previous experience or technical knowledge required.
After looking at engaging examples, you will then create a new work or adapt an existing story of your own using Twine – an online tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories.
In this workshop you will explore ways in which technology can complement and enhance the storytelling experience – from carefully crafted branching narratives through multiple-character viewpoints and puzzle-solving to media-rich games featuring interactive elements, sound effects, photos and videos. Learn new skills, increase your confidence and potentially widen the audience for your work.
You will need to bring your own laptop or tablet device.
