An all-day intensive drawing workshop that will enable you to explore and experiment. Utilising drawing, construction, costume and lighting we will consider the body and its surroundings with the ambition to make observed, representative and abstracted works in both small and large scale. We will use different lighting and props to investigate how we can change the space, increasing our opportunity to experiment with materials and drawing techniques.
The workshop is led by artist Kate Genever and model Julie Moosburg of The New Drawing Club. Together they are experienced at leading participants through a range of methods and techniques and encourages all to find personal ways of representing the figure, life and physicality.
This course is open to all. Artists who are new to life drawing, or have not drawn for some time, are very welcome.
£5 voluntary contribution on the day for materials, 12 places only. Booking essential. www.metalculture.com
