Yet another fantastic FREE digital art group has started here at Metal Southend, thanks to the wonderful Netpark Wellbeing Project team. Once a week they will get a visit from REACH.
REACH is the South East Essex Recovery College, set up to improve the quality of life for people with living experience of mental health conditions by providing people with information and tools to self-manage. They aim to improve people’s lives by preventing, reducing and avoiding the use of secondary mental health services.
Working with participants from Open Arts/REACH/Trustlinks who have already undertaken some time on a NetPark Wellbeing course but would like an opportunity to complete more digital art work. This is for people living with low level mental health conditions. The 12 week digital art course incorporates using NetPark apps, walking in Chalkwell park and using Ipads to create digital art. The 12 week course hopes to improve confidence using technology, gentle exercising in the park whilst meeting new people and helping raise self esteem.
