Sunday 17th February, 2 – 5pm
Metal Chauffeurs Cottage, St Peters Road, Peterborough, PE1 1YX
Artist in residence Fernanda Munoz –Newsome will be holding a movement workshop for women, non-binary identifying people and trans women with collaborator Jamila Johnson – Small. This workshop is open to those who have a desire to be exploring bodies, movement and language and will move between private and public space. No experience necessary.
What if our bodies spoke without censoring information?
What if on a cellular level we are able to make patriarchy die a miserable death through investing imagination in the unruly beautiful mess of our bodies?
This workshop will explore disturbing (perceived) boundaries between choreographic, social, verbal and intimate space. And will ask what if our speaking/ mumbling bodies found power inside mess and the unformed/non-namable?
To book your place please click here or email email@example.com.
An honorarium is available to participants to help with costs of childcare, travel, missed work time for those who need it, and access costs. Please contact Fernanda at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
With thanks to Arts Council England for their funding support.
