Vinyl Station returns with an exclusive first play of Matthew Herbert’s new album A Nude: the Perfect Body, which was developed while in residence at Metal in 2015.
Presented in partnership with BidoLito at Metal’s iconic spaces in Edge Hill Station, Vinyl Station is about taking the time to listen to new music together. On 13th June Vinyl Station will feature the first play of Matthew’s extraordinary new album A Nude: the Perfect Body.
For the album, Matthew Herbert has recorded the sounds of a naked body in a room for 24 hours. During that time, the body does everything that humans do: it eats, sleeps, washes, wees, moves, poos and so on. While in residence at Metal in December 2015, Matthew took these recordings of the body and condensed and organised them into a work of eight wordless musical pieces.
Join us at Metal to enjoy an exclusive first play of this new digital release. Afterwards there will be a chance to discuss the album in a session hosted by esteemed Liverpool muso Bernie Connor.
Vinyl Station is a free event, but please reserve a place by clicking here.
