Thomas Joshua Cooper gives a talk at Metal. Win an opportunity to see the great photographer at work!
THOMAS JOSHUA COOPER AT METAL + A COMPETITION
As part of the Liverpool Biennial, Thomas Joshua Cooper, one of the most celebrated and distinctive landscape photographers working in the world today, arrives to Liverpool to photograph the River Mersey and to give a talk at Metal about his unique style.
San Francisco-born Cooper will also be talking about his current project, a 21-year epic to photograph the Atlantic Ocean from its coastlines in five continents, looking out to sea. He will be presenting his meditative, almost philosophical images printed in the 19th century manner with layers of silver and gold chloride.
Win your chance to accompany the artist as he takes photographs of the Mersey and witness his unusual technique first hand.
In order to participate in the competition, submit one of your own photographs of a coast line, anywhere in the world. The winner will be the owner of the image that most appeals to the judges – Joshua Cooper and Metal Liverpool director Ian Brownbill.
