The famous Peacock Palace abutting Chalkwell Hall has been lovingly redesigned and refurbished by a team of Netpark volunteers, in a design by artist Kitty Guthrie. The team have been painstakingly painting vibrant colours that might even vye for more attention than the peacock and his plumage were he not also a champion squawker.

Our proud mascot and resident flirt, just back from his holiday, has been strutting around like he owns the place. Which of course he does, along with the rest of the park and a few neighbouring streets.

The beautiful mural also features an eye-catching koala native to Southern India where the peacock is rumoured to hail from, though we can never really be sure; he’s very protective of his mystique.
