Following on from his series of guided walks around Peterborough with his specially comissioned map that explores Peterborough’s potential to grow more of its own food, Dr. Mikey Tomkins will lead an evening talk that explores the findings of his work and invites us to contemplate how we can use both new and very old techniques to feed ourselves within the city. Can Peterborough feed itself, and if not, how much more food could we grow?
Mikey is a consultant, artist, researcher and practitioner in the area of urban agriculture who has worked all over the world, from Dallas, to Hackney, to Ugandan refugee camps. The Green Backyard commissioned him to create an edible map for Peterborough after seeing his work on Newcastle as an edible city. Book your tickets here – http://bit.ly/1Wjn2l8
