Socially engaged artist Hwa Young Jung is looking for a youth worker to ride shotgun!

Hwa is looking for a youth worker to help further develop PTown Bay MMXXX, a board game co-created with young people (14-15 years olds) who are learning outside the mainstream education system at the Nacro Education and Skills Centre in Peterborough. The game explores the current and near future aspirations of young people faced with multiple disadvantages.

The role of the youth worker is to assist in running in person workshops at NACRO Peterborough, and have pre and post workshop discussions with Hwa Young. There are twelve sessions running from February to July, excluding term time breaks and school holidays. Workshops run every Tuesday from 9.30am – 12.00pm.

Requirements : 

🎮 Youth workers who have experience of working with vulnerable young people (must)

🎮 DBS checked (must)

🎮 Enjoys games (bonus)

🎮 Interested in the arts (helpful, but not a necessity)

This is a paid opportunity (negotiable, but fair wages and working towards industry day rate). A break down of the pay is as follows: 

🎲 Planning Hybrid workshops @day rate x 5 days 

🎲 Running workshop @day rate x 12 half days

🎲 Travel expenses separate.

  • DBS checked (must)
  • Likes games (bonus)
  • Interested in the arts (helpful, but not a necessity)

This opportunity is paid, which is negotiable, but fair wages and working towards industry day rate. A break down of the pay is as follows:
