As education partners, we have been invited to take part in day 2, leading a session that looks at the role of artists and young people in our collective response to the environmental crisis. We will be asking local secondary school pupils how they will turn the information they receive through the summit into positive change. Our creative and playful session will close the Youth Summit with an aim to motivate everyone involved to take action.
Acting as a precursor to the COP 26 youth summit in Milan, the Youth Summit passes the mic to hundreds of young people from across the Liverpool City Region to challenge business leaders on the effect their businesses are having on climate change, the oceans, rainforests, animal habitats and our food supply. As a result a new digital education resource will be developed for schools and community groups to access throughout the UK and beyond.
