You may have heard by now that it is very unlikely that there will be a Village Beach and Village Beach: Next Generation this year in Grays Riverside Park.
As we’re sure you are aware, money is tight for many and we have been unable to secure enough funds for the festivals to go ahead.
Metal would like to thank all of you – artists, audiences, community groups, schools and other organisations who came together to put on a fantastic event over the last two years. We really enjoyed meeting and working with you and are very proud of what we collectively achieved.
We will still be around in Grays and Thurrock working on other projects – namely:-
Love Grays launch event on Saturday 25 February in the High Street or pick up a postcard from Thurrock Library in the Thameside building.
Craft Trade School, a partnership with Crafts Council England and Thurrock Council – launching 23 February at South Essex College.
Estuary 2018 – the second edition of our biennial festival – we have already begun to plan venues and programme – look out for more information appearing on the Metal website as we confirm the programme over the coming months.
Looking forward to seeing you at some or all of these events. In the meantime, best of luck with all that you are continuing to work on for the communities of Thurrock.
